I have been repairing and restoring classic split bamboo fly rods for over 40 years.  I have been building rods since 1995, both bamboo and fiberglass.  At this time, I have decided now to narrow my focus.  I  will be repairing and restoring rods 9' and shorter  and limit my work to the following makers only:  Leonard, Payne, F.E. Thomas, Edwards (E.W., Bill and Jean), Winston, Powell (E.C. and Walton), Dickerson, Hawes, Thomas & Thomas, Goodwin Granger, Wright McGill Granger, Orvis and Heddon.

I will consider trade towards items on my other collectibles list, parts and pieces from the above mentioned rods, quality rod components.

Contrary to what has been reported,  I am still making bamboo and fiberglass rods.  I will be phasing out fiberglass this year and will not be taking orders on new bamboo rods.  I will be building them to my specifications and listing them in "Other Collectibles".

I have had a good run with fiberglass, but I would like to devote  more time and energy to bamboo.  I do not have all models available in fiberglass and when these are gone, I am done with fiberglass.

My wife Peggy will continue to make rod bags.  I am planning on doing more fishing this year.  Stay tuned to further developments.  Good luck  and good fishing.
